Backend Developer • Telemedic

We are currently inviting an ambitious Backend Developer to join our growing R&D team in Vilnius, Lithuania and support the Teltonika Telemedic team. We design and develop next-generation medical devices, and we also solve current healthcare challenges. We aim to create and deliver smart solutions that are easily accessible to diverse communities, medical professionals and the elderly. We are currently working on a unique smart watch that can detect atrial fibrillation, and we are also developing a professional artificial lung ventilator.

We are a small web development team creating a web platform for patients and hospitals to manage patients' medical heart data, which is recorded by our proprietary smart wearable device designed to detect atrial fibrillation. We work closely with embedded developers, electrical engineers, mechanical engineers, and mobile application developers to ensure seamless integration across our products, forming a comprehensive ecosystem.

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:

• Implement new backend features within our serverless (AWS) architecture.
• Maintain, optimize, and troubleshoot our existing backend code.
• Strive to achieve compliance with best cybersecurity practices.
• Take ownership and make architectural decisions for the system.

WE BELIEVE THAT YOU HAVE:

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in backend software engineering.
• At least 1 year of experience with AWS services such as Lambda, Cognito, S3, RDS, CloudWatch, DynamoDB, Timestream, API Gateway, VPC, and IAM.
• Experience working with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform and Serverless framework.
• High level of experience developing backend code using Node.js and Python.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Proficiency in both functional and object-oriented programming.
• Native or highly fluent Lithuanian language skills, with the ability to read, understand, and write in technical English.

IDEALLY, YOU’LL ALSO HAVE:

• Experience ensuring high availability and resilience of cloud systems.
• Experience in DevOps, including setting up and maintaining GitLab CI/CD procedures.
• Understanding of best deployment practices and common methods.
• Experience optimizing the cost-to-performance ratio of cloud architectures.

OUR OFFER

Salary:

We appreciate everyone's efforts and experiences, so we offer an attractive salary that will match your skillset and expertise in the field. The salary for this position ranges from 25 Eur/h up to 40 Eur/h (~4170 Eur – 6670 Eur) pre-tax, depending on your experience and expertise.

• In an employment agreement we specify and define a fixed (tariff) hourly salary rate before taxes.
