RESPONSIBILITIES
The Vilnius-based Program Coordinator is responsible for the administration and oversight of a large-scale U.S. Government-funded exchange program () on behalf of American Councils for International Education. Specific program components for which the Program Coordinator will be responsible include recruitment; testing administration; pre-departure orientations; departure and return travel; facilitation of visa and travel logistics; and on-program support for participants. The Program Coordinator serves as the primary point of contact for the FLEX program in Lithuania for students and their parents in coordination with Washington, D.C. staff.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordination of FLEX Program in Lithuania
Design and implement a robust annual recruitment schedule
Coordinate the creation of in-person, print, and online promotional materials and activities
Serve as a liaison between the Washington and Vilnius offices for all issues related to program administration
Provide support to parents of candidates and participants throughout the lifecycle of the program
Assist in the hiring and selection of pre-departure orientation (PDO) teaching staff
Represent American Councils and U.S. Department of State programs among stakeholders, partners, and media outlets
Oversight of FLEX Alumni Coordinator and Alumni Activities
Review, compile, and edit FLEX alumni activity reports for program websites and quarterly reporting
Support the Alumni Coordinator in conducting re-entry seminars in Lithuania for returning alumni
Assist the Alumni Coordinator in promoting opportunities and contests on behalf of American Councils and the U.S. Embassy
QUALIFICATIONS
Proficiency in spoken and written English and native-level Lithuanian
Bachelor's degree; advanced degree preferred
Minimum of five years working on international programs, supervising staff, and/or relevant experience
Outstanding time management, organization, and planning skills
Demonstrated excellence in communicative and interpersonal skills
Flexibility to occasionally work weekends and evenings
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and common social media platforms
Demonstrated effective financial, organizational, and planning skills
Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills
Ability to work independently while contributing to an overall team effort
