What you'll be doing
We are looking for a professional Accountant to join our talented accounting team, responsible for one of the biggest clients at Baltic Assist. The client is one of the most vibrant investment companies in the Nordics, with headquarters in Denmark, Finland, Sweden, Norway, Luxembourg, the United Kingdom, Poland, and Germany. This innovative and sustainability-focused project would allow you to create active partnerships with business and finance. You would be responsible for handling the full cycle of accounting tasks (from daily operations to periodic reporting), month-end close, and reconciliations. Moreover, you would be ensuring the quality of financial services and maintaining communication with clients and addressing their additional requests. You would be working closely with the local Finance Manager and accountants in other countries.

How you'll spend your day
- Will be responsible for delivery and quality of primary accounting operations (accounting of purchase/sale accounts, bank operations, payments, payroll transactions in the system used by the customer).
- Collecting and analyzing financial and administrative data from different sources and putting them in the system to ensure that accounting information is complete, accurate, and timely, maintaining high quality standards.
- Checking the accuracy of the balance sheet and profit (loss) account items and reconciling the accounts (work done by yourself and other less experienced colleagues).
- Analyzing average to high complexity of financial data, preparing various reconciliations, related reports.
- Performing and taking responsibility/ownership of assigned tasks.
- Identifying possible risks and incorrect accounting, financial reporting and searching for correct answers.
- Preparing interim and annual reports in accordance with local GAAP and IFRS.
- Managing, organizing closing of accounting books from start to finish (on a monthly/annual basis).
- Preparing VAT and other tax reports, other management reports as well.
- Helping external partners (auditors, tax inspectors, lawyers) in the company's audit, collecting, preparing, and adjusting the submission of various information. Being able to take ownership of assigned tasks and of received requests from external parties.
- Communicating with the customers on accounting and other financial service matters.
- Sharing good practice, experience, and knowledge with new or less experienced colleagues.
You'll be successful if you have
- Bachelor's Degree in Economics/Mathematics/Business administration/Finance or similar.
- Not less than 3-years professional experience in Finance or similar field.
- Solid knowledge of accounting rules.
- Good communication skills - fluency in written and spoken English is essential.
- Analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Problem-solving skills, ability independently identify risks/issues/efficiencies in day-to-day tasks.
- Excellent MS Excel skills.
- Ability to work in a team.

Salary
3200 - 3600 EUR/month gross (before tax) based on your competencies, skills, and experience, but we are open for negotiations
