What you will be responsible for:
- Research assistance (60-70 % of time):
- preparing and assisting with economic data for economic research;
- contributing to analytical and research projects prepared by CEFER;
- preparing charts and tables and generating insights of the underlying data;
- supporting the development of and enhancing the analytical tools used in CEFER.
- Administrative work (30-40 % of time):
- publicising the activities of the Research Centre (competitions, conferences, seminars, etc.);
- organising invited researcher seminars from abroad;
- maintenance of the Research Centre's website;
- administration of the Research Centre's activities.
What we expect from you:
- a university degree in economics, econometrics, mathematics, statistics or finance (relevant fields will also be taken into account);
- experience in data analysis;
- proficiency in at least one data analysis programme (R, Python, STATA, MATLAB, etc.);
- excellent Lithuanian and English language skills and the ability to express ideas fluently and logically in oral or written form in Lithuanian and English;
- communicability, ability to communicate effectively with employees of different levels;
- enthusiasm, strong desire to constantly improve their own activities and contribute to the Research Centre‘s results;
- excellent MS Office skills;
- responsibility, diligence, and results-orientation;
- activity, responsiveness, initiative, and autonomy;
- ability to work in a team and in an international environment.
Additional skills and experiences that will be considered:
- experience in administrative work;
- programming experience (e.g., Matlab, R, Python);
- experience of writing scientific papers.
Other information:
- salary depends on competences and experience. Salary range: €1952 - €2928 (gross).
