We're seeking a Controls Electrical Engineer to join our team in Kaunas and take charge of the realisation of our customer projects in the EMEA region.
In this role, you will be part of a highly skilled engineering team responsible for designing and delivering the electrical hardware solutions behind our automated warehousing systems. You’ll work closely with colleagues across disciplines, supporting both product development and project execution, and contributing to the success of our standard solutions as well as customer-specific implementations.
This is a hands-on, collaborative position where your expertise will directly shape how our systems perform in real-world environments.

As a Controls Electrical Engineer, you will play a key role in bringing our automation solutions to life. You will:
- Design and develop electrical hardware concepts and solutions for automated systems, tailored to customer requirements
- Create and maintain detailed hardware designs using EPLAN P8, ensuring high-quality engineering standards
- Define control system concepts, including safety systems in line with relevant regulations and standards
- Develop hardware specifications that describe and support Swisslog’s standard products
- Implement plant control solutions across different platforms, integrating drive and control technologies
- Perform acceptance testing of third-party equipment, both at supplier sites and on-site
- Collaborate closely with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery
- Support and mentor colleagues, sharing best practices and lessons learned
- Represent Swisslog in internal and external meetings, acting as a trusted technical expert
Your work will ensure our solutions are safe, reliable, and built to the highest standards—making a real difference in how goods move around the world.
What you need to succeed
We’re looking for someone who combines strong technical expertise with a collaborative mindset:
- Solid experience in electrical hardware engineering, ideally using EPLAN P8
- Familiarity with PLM/ALM systems and ERP tools (e.g. SAP)
- Good knowledge of AutoCAD 2D
- Understanding of European standards such as EN 60204-1 and EN 61439-1/2
- Experience in the automation industry, ideally within intralogistics
- Knowledge of PLC platforms such as Beckhoff TwinCAT or Siemens S7
- Understanding of industrial communication networks (e.g. EtherCAT, PROFINET, PROFIBUS, AS-i) and AC drives
- Knowledge of warehouse automation systems (conveyors, monorails, etc.) is a plus
- Strong English communication skills, both written and spoken
- Willingness to travel extensivelty to our customers in EMEA.
- A team-oriented approach, with the ability to build strong relationships and share knowledge
