HEAD OF ACCOUNTING

We are looking for a leader who can coordinate accounting teams across different countries, establish common standards, strengthen controls and continuously improve the way accounting processes are organised across the Group.

· Bring accounting teams across different countries together around common ways of working, while keeping the flexibility needed for each local market.
· Work closely with the teams to ensure month-end and year-end closing, financial data and reporting are accurate, clear and delivered on time.
· Oversee the key accounting processes across the Group, including AP, AR, payroll and intercompany accounting, making sure they work smoothly across different entities.
· Coordinate financial reporting in line with local requirements, tax compliance and audit processes together with local teams and specialists.
· Strengthen internal controls and build clear, practical accounting principles that help teams work with greater consistency and confidence.
· Review how things are done today and look for opportunities to make processes simpler and more efficient through standardisation, centralisation or automation where it adds real value.
· Develop the accounting team, share best practices and help professionals across different countries work towards one common direction.

We are looking for someone who knows accounting well, but also sees the bigger picture – people, processes and how the finance function can help the business work better.

· You have experience leading an accounting team and know how to bring strong professionals together, give them ownership and keep everyone moving in the same direction.
· You have worked in a group, multi-entity or international environment and understand how to balance common standards with local ways of working.
· You have strong knowledge of month-end and year-end closing, financial reporting, audit and core accounting processes.
· You have experience improving the way things work – whether through standardisation, centralisation, automation or simply finding a clearer and more practical approach.
· When you see that something is not working, you do not settle for “this is how we’ve always done it”. You look for a better solution and are comfortable turning ideas into action.
· You are confident making decisions independently and comfortable working in an international environment, with proficiency in English and either Polish or Russian.

· You will have plenty of freedom to make decisions, bring your own ideas and initiate change where you see an opportunity to work better.
