Internal Audit Subject Matter Expert (Liquidity and Capital Risk)

We are looking for an Internal Audit Subject Matter Expert (Liquidity and Capital Risk) to join our Internal Audit team. You will provide independent, risk-based assurance over the Group's capital adequacy, liquidity adequacy, broader prudential risk management framework, including related regulatory reporting processes.

You will work as a senior specialist within the Internal Audit function. The role requires independence of judgement, confidence in constructively challenging senior stakeholders and the ability to explain complex prudential matters clearly. You will not own or design the controls you assess, but your expertise will help the organization understand whether its governance, methodologies and controls are effective.

Every day, you’ll be #closer and:

• Lead and deliver complex internal audits covering capital adequacy, liquidity adequacy, prudential risk management and related regulatory reporting.
• Independently assess ICAAP, ILAAP, interest rate risk in the banking book (IRRBB, recovery and resolution planning, prudential stress testing and the supporting governance and control frameworks.
• Evaluate methodologies, models, calculations, assumptions, controls and data flows used for capital and liquidity risk management.
• Challenge the reliability and regulatory compliance of COREP, LCR, NSFR and other relevant prudential reporting processes.
• Translate complex regulatory, quantitative and technical matters into clear conclusions and practical recommendations for senior management and governance bodies.
• Contribute specialist expertise to the Internal Audit risk assessment, audit planning, thematic reviews and follow-up of significant findings.

To be #closer, you’ll need:

• At least 7 years of relevant experience in internal audit, risk management, treasury, prudential regulation, regulatory reporting, financial risk advisory or supervision.
• Significant practical experience in at least three of: ICAAP, ILAAP, liquidity risk, capital adequacy, IRRBB, prudential stress testing, COREP, LCR, NSFR, recovery planning or resolution planning.
• Demonstrated ability to assess methodologies, models, calculations, controls and data flows.
• Experience in a regulated bank or comparable financial institution.
• Strong understanding of the three-lines model and Internal Audit independence.
• Excellent English communication skills – written and verbal.

Preferred qualifications:

• University degree in finance, economics, mathematics, statistics, accounting or a related discipline.
• CIA, CFA, FRM, ACCA, CPA or equivalent professional qualification.
• Experience with ECB or national supervisory reviews, SREP, on-site inspections or regulatory remediation.
• Working knowledge of data interrogation and analytics tools.
