SUMMARY
The Product Development Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and supporting new product development and enhancement initiatives, ensuring alignment with company goals and efficient cross-departmental collaboration. This role facilitates smooth workflows, manages product-related tasks, and develops standard operating procedures to optimize the Product Development Department’s efficiency. The coordinator also supports purchasing and communication efforts to meet project goals and timelines.
PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES
- Coordinate product development tasks to support efficient workflows and timely completion.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for the Product Development Department.
- Communicate product development announcements and progress updates to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with purchasing to source materials for product testing and development.
- Facilitate meetings within the department and cross-functional teams.
- Oversee non-standard request inquiries to ensure efficient processing and response.
- Track and report on product development progress, adjusting priorities as needed.
- Maintain a well-organized documentation system for all product development initiatives.
- Analyze and resolve task issues to minimize project delays and resource misallocation.
- Actively manage project timelines, ensuring alignment with deadlines and department goals.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
KEY COMPETENCIES
- Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and manage timelines.
- Skilled in liaising between departments to align goals and expectations.
- Ensures accuracy in documentation, announcements, and coordination efforts.
- Uses data and input from stakeholders to improve processes.
- Experienced in creating clear, usable SOPs.
- Capable of identifying challenges and creating actionable solutions.
- Works cooperatively with teams to enhance efficiency.
- Responds flexibly to evolving project requirements and timelines.
- Proficient in Zoho Desk, Zoho Project, and MS Office for task and project management.
- Clear and efficient communicator in meetings and written reports.
- Proactively seeks ways to improve processes within the department.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
- Experience in project management or product development coordination.
- Strong English proficiency (B2 level or higher).
