WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Own functional and non-functional testing for your assigned features or product areas, from planning through execution
- Design test cases and test scenarios independently, including edge cases that aren't explicitly called out in requirements
- Identify, document, and track defects in our bug-tracking system, with clear reproduction steps and severity assessments that help prioritize fixes
- Work directly with developers and project managers to troubleshoot issues, clarify ambiguous requirements, and validate fixes before release
- Contribute to test strategy and process improvements — flagging gaps in coverage, suggesting better testing approaches, and helping shape how the team tests going forward
- Support or mentor junior QA team members as needed, reviewing their test cases or pairing on tricky defects
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- 2+ years of experience as a manual tester at an IT company
- Solid understanding of software testing principles and methodologies (test design, test levels, defect lifecycle)
- Hands-on experience with bug-tracking tools such as JIRA
- Experience with API testing tools such as Postman, Insomnia, or SoapUI
- Working knowledge of SQL for querying databases to validate data and investigate issues
- General understanding of how web and mobile applications work under the hood (client-server interaction, basic architecture)
- Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking, with the ability to spot edge cases others might miss
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, comfortable working closely with developers and PMs
NICE TO HAVE
- Experience testing e-commerce platforms
- Exposure to test automation tools or scripting (even basic) — useful if the role may grow in that direction
