Responsibilities:
- Ensure company adherence to all local, state, and federal transport and workplace safety regulations (e.g., DOT, OSHA);
- Monitor driver performance, conduct spot checks, and implement driver safety programs;
- Lead investigations for accidents, injuries, or property damage to determine root causes;
- Act as the company liaison with insurance agencies to process and manage equipment and liability claims;
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement;
- Promote and build a proactive "safety-first" culture among all operational staff and management.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience as Safety Manager in US based logistics company;
- Advanced verbal and written English skills;
- Understanding of HOS, DOT and FMCSA regulations and general trucking safety/compliance procedures;
- Strong attention to detail and time-management skills;
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
