Job Description:

The Sales Project Engineer is responsible for identifying and delivering industrial packaging and processing solutions that meet customer needs while supporting business growth with both existing and new customers. The role provides technical expertise throughout the sales and project lifecycle, working closely with internal teams, the MULTIVAC Group units, and external suppliers to develop and lead to life effective and commercially viable solutions in wide scope of complexity and automation. The position also supports project coordination, customer-facing technical activities, and the qualification of wide scope of complexity opportunities, while providing guidance to both client and MULTIVAC Group.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales and Business Development

  • Develop and grow sales with existing customers while identifying and acquiring new business opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders.
  • Identify customer packaging, processing, and automation requirements and propose suitable solutions.
  • Prepare and present technical specifications, quotations, commercial proposals and business cases.
  • Negotiate contracts and commercial terms in line with company objectives.
  • Achieve sales targets and contribute to the overall growth strategy of the business.

Account Management

  • Act as the primary point of contact for assigned customer accounts.
  • Maintain regular communication with customers to understand current and future business needs.
  • Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction throughout the sales and project lifecycle.
  • Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling MULTIVAC products and services.
  • Manage customer expectations and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.

Project Coordination

  • Coordinate with technical specialists, project teams, the MULTIVAC Group, and third-party suppliers to develop customer solutions.
  • Support project implementation by ensuring customer requirements are clearly communicated and understood.
  • Monitor project progress and maintain effective communication between customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Help ensure solutions are delivered within agreed timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

Market Development

  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments.
  • Identify emerging customer needs and new business opportunities.
  • Represent MULTIVAC at industry events, exhibitions, and customer meetings.
  • Promote the company's products, services, and value proposition within the market.

Internal Collaboration

  • Work closely with service, engineering, project management, and administrative teams to ensure successful customer outcomes.
  • Share market intelligence and customer feedback with relevant departments.
  • Support and contribute to sales planning, forecasting, and reporting activities.

Requirements:

Qualifications and Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in sales, account management, business development, or customer-facing sales project engineer roles within industrial, manufacturing, packaging, automation, or technical environments.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Food Technology, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience managing customer relationships and delivering commercial results.
  • Understanding of packaging, processing, automation, or industrial equipment solutions is considered an advantage.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and customer accounts simultaneously.
