Responsibilities
Lead the development, standardization, and continuous improvement of optical assembly processes, methods, and technologies.
Act as the technical authority for assembly-related topics, supporting engineers and manufacturing teams in solving complex technical challenges.
Drive assembly process performance by monitoring quality, efficiency, throughput, and rework indicators and implementing improvement initiatives.
Develop, validate, and introduce new assembly methods, tooling, fixtures, and equipment solutions.
Collaborate closely with R&D, Manufacturing, Optics, and Quality teams to ensure products are designed and manufactured for reliable assembly.
Lead root cause investigations and implement systemic solutions to improve process stability and product quality.
Evaluate opportunities for automation, digitalization, and process optimization within the assembly function.
Support investment planning for assembly technologies, equipment, and tooling.
Ensure assembly documentation, work instructions, and technical standards remain accurate, up to date, and scalable.
Mentor and support less experienced engineers, helping build technical capability across the team.
Ensure assembly activities meet quality, safety, and customer requirements while supporting operational excellence initiatives.

Core Mission
Build and continuously improve assembly technologies, processes, and capabilities that enable OPTOMAN to deliver high-quality optical products efficiently, reliably, and at scale.
Required superpowers
Bachelor's degree in Physics, Engineering, Technology, or a related technical field.
5+ years of experience in manufacturing, assembly engineering, process engineering, or a similar technical environment.
Strong understanding of precision assembly processes, technical problem-solving, and process optimization.
Experience developing, validating, or improving manufacturing technologies, methods, or equipment.
Ability to analyze technical and operational data and translate findings into practical improvements.
Strong project management and prioritization skills.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and engineering documentation.
Experience working cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and operations teams.
Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies such as LEAN, Kaizen, or similar approaches.
Comfortable working with technical documentation systems, project management tools, and MS 365.
Experience with optical manufacturing, optical assemblies, metrology systems, CAD software, or precision engineering environments is considered a strong advantage.
Lithuanian C1-C2 and English C1.
