About the role:
Strategic Staffing Solutions customer is looking for an experienced Senior Business Analyst to contribute to a large-scale transformation project focused on modernizing a global trade surveillance platform.
In this role, you will work at the intersection of business, technology, and regulatory compliance, helping develop and enhance solutions used to monitor trading activity across financial markets.
You will be responsible for gathering and defining business requirements, translating them into technical specifications, and collaborating with international teams to ensure successful implementation. The position offers exposure to complex financial systems, market data integration, and surveillance processes across multiple asset classes.

You will be responsible for gathering and defining business requirements, translating them into technical specifications, and collaborating with international teams to ensure successful implementation. The position offers exposure to complex financial systems, market data integration, and surveillance processes across multiple asset classes.
What You Will Do:
- Gather, analyze, and convert business needs into detailed functional requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical documentation.
- Define and prioritize system enhancements, data requirements, and functional specifications throughout the development lifecycle.
- Collaborate with Surveillance, Engineering, Commercial, and Delivery teams across Europe and the US to coordinate project activities and ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Work closely with Risk, Compliance, and Audit stakeholders to clarify requirements, address issues, and support regulatory expectations.
- Maintain and prioritize the product backlog, coordinate Agile delivery activities, and contribute to process improvements.
- Support the implementation, testing, calibration, and optimization of surveillance models covering various financial instruments, including equities and fixed income products.
- Ensure effective integration of trading data while considering exchange requirements, system capabilities, and data quality.
- Assist with ongoing surveillance operations, including business initiatives, market abuse risk assessments, and user support.
What We're Looking For:
- Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- At least 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst or Product Analyst within capital markets, financial services technology, or regulated trading environments.
- Solid knowledge of financial markets, trading processes, order management, execution workflows, and exchange regulations.
- Understanding of different asset classes, including equities, fixed income, derivatives, futures, options, and forwards.
- Experience preparing functional specifications, user stories, process documentation, and data flow diagrams.
- Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies and experience working with development and product teams.
- Hands-on experience with SQL and the ability to analyze complex datasets.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Nice to Have
- Understanding of trade surveillance, market abuse monitoring, and financial regulatory frameworks such as MAR, MiFID II, and FINRA regulations.
- Experience working with trading data feeds, data integration processes, and financial instrument reference data.
- Familiarity with surveillance technologies such as NICE Actimize, TradingHub, Scila, or comparable solutions.
- Knowledge of surveillance alert calibration, monitoring models, and system optimization.
- Experience coordinating projects with international stakeholders and distributed teams.
- Advanced knowledge of Jira for backlog management, sprint planning, and delivery tracking.
- Familiarity with reporting and visualization platforms such as Power BI or Tableau.
