JOIN A NEW TEAM SHAPING THE LONG-TERM OPERATIONS OF LITHUANIA’S MAJOR DEFENCE INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECT
In July 2026, UAB Merko Statyba commenced the implementation of the second phase of the Rūdininkai Military Campus, one of Lithuania’s largest defence infrastructure projects. The project covers the design, construction, financing, management and long-term maintenance of approximately 170,000 sq. m of military infrastructure across more than 90 hectares.
The infrastructure is being developed to support the permanent deployment of the German Brigade in Lithuania, with completion expected by the end of 2027.
UAB VPSP Projektai is establishing a new Operations and Maintenance (O&M) team to ensure the long-term operation and maintenance of the Rūdninkai Military Campus. The company is looking for a Technical Manager, reporting to the Operations Manager, to lead the development and implementation of technical maintenance and facility management services.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- To coordinate the establishment and mobilisation of technical maintenance and facility management services.
- To participate in the selection of technical solutions and equipment.
- To assess the technical and financial risks of different solutions.
- To prepare and conduct procurement processes for technical maintenance, cleaning, and territory maintenance services.
- To ensure that service specifications are technically correct, including service scope and SLAs.
- To develop maintenance plans and monitor their implementation.
- To manage technical maintenance services and technical service providers.
- To ensure the reliability of all building systems.
- To plan repairs, improvements and capital investments.
- To coordinate the technical readiness and handover of facilities from construction into operations.
THE ROLE REQUIRES
- Relevant experience in facility and maintenance management, preferably gained in large-scale facilities and complex operational environments.
- A proactive approach to continuous improvement, enhancing service quality, operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness while ensuring compliance with service level agreements and contractual obligations.
- Hands-on technical leadership, combining a practical, solution-oriented approach with the ability to work directly with contractors and service providers, evaluate technical solutions, and take ownership of issues through to resolution. The role requires active involvement in day-to-day technical and operational matters, beyond supervision and reporting.
- Languages: Fluency in Lithuanian and English.
