Job description

What do we expect from you?

University degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
7+ years of experience in accounting, including at least 3 years in a leadership role such as Chief Accountant, Accounting Manager, or a similar position.
Strong knowledge of Lithuanian accounting standards and tax legislation.
Proven experience in preparing financial statements and working with external auditors.
Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
Experience in preparing, reviewing, and submitting tax returns and statutory reports.
Experience in communicating with tax authorities and managing tax-related compliance matters.
Ability to organize work effectively, lead a team, and collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial systems, and regulatory compliance.
English language proficiency at B2 level or higher, both written and spoken.
Experience with financial reporting software and ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics, SAP) is considered an advantage.

What can you expect your day to look like?

Organize and ensure the smooth execution of the company’s accounting processes and financial reporting activities.
Develop, maintain, and oversee accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
Prepare financial statements and related reporting in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
Ensure compliance of accounting operations with legal regulations and internal company policies.
Prepare and submit tax returns, declarations, and reports to relevant authorities.
Monitor compliance with tax regulations and ensure timely fulfillment of tax obligations.
Liaise with tax authorities, auditors, and other external stakeholders on accounting and tax-related matters.
Coordinate external audit processes and ensure timely provision of required information and documentation.
Lead and manage the accounting team, including work allocation, performance management, and employee development.
Participate in the design and implementation of internal controls related to financial reporting.
Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing processes.
Participate in various IT and other projects focused on the digitalization of accounting processes.

Base monthly salary: from €4540 to €5680 (before tax). The specific salary offered will depend on the candidate‘s experience, competencies displayed and suitability to the position's requirements.
