ERA Family is a first-generation family office located in Lithuania with offices in Vilnius and Kaunas.
As a Risk Manager, you will be responsible for the independent assessment and oversight of investment risks. The role is integral to the investment decision-making process and involves close collaboration with the investment team, the investment committee, and senior management. You will ensure that all material investment risks are systematically identified, measured, monitored, and effectively communicated.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and continuously improve the portfolio and fund risk management framework;
- Analyze portfolio risk structure and identify key risk drivers and sources of volatility;
- Build and apply analytical models to assess the impact of various factors on portfolio volatility;
- Provide practical recommendations to reduce portfolio risk based on analysis;
- Prepare regular risk reports for management and the investment committee, highlighting key risks and trends;
- Conduct scenario analysis and stress testing;
- Monitor compliance with risk limits and investment rules;
- Independently evaluate investment proposals from a risk perspective and make recommendations;
- Contribute to risk policies, methodologies, and procedural updates;
- Improve risk assessment methods, data quality, and reporting structures;
- Stay up-to-date with market trends and implement best practices in risk management.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in asset management, investment funds, risk management, or portfolio analysis;
- Strong understanding of investment portfolio risk management;
- Practical experience with traditional asset classes (equities and bonds);
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills, ability to build analytical models independently;
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or related field;
- Risk management certification (FRM or similar) – a strong advantage;
- Experience with alternative asset classes (real estate, private equity, infrastructure, etc.) – an advantage.
